Mark\nWhite is an award-winning school leader, author, and consultant. Previously, he\nwas the director of education and outreach at Mindset Digital and academic\nprincipal in the International Department of the Beijing National Day School in\nBeijing, China. As the superintendent of the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools\nin Gahanna, Ohio, he played a key role in the design of Clark Hall and the\nimplementation of global skills and technology into its curriculum. During his\ntenure as superintendent, the district earned the state's highest academic\nranking, opened Clark Hall, and achieved financial stability. Mr. White has\nbeen a consultant to both the College Board and the ACT and has served on two\nnational education reform committees. He has frequently been a guest speaker at\nschools and universities and at local, state, and national conferences. Prior\nto being a superintendent, Mr. White was a band director, high school English\nteacher and department head, high school assistant principal, principal, and\nassistant superintendent.

Mark\nis the co-author of What's in Your Space: 5 Steps for Better School and\nClassroom Redesign (Corwin Press 2016) and Leading Schools in Disruptive\nTimes: How to Survive Hyper-Change (Corwin Press 2018), which was chosen by\nLearning Forward as a book club selection. A second edition of the book,\nupdated during the COVID pandemic of 2020, was released in March of 2021.\nAnother educational leadership book, 5-Gen Leadership: Leading 5 Generations\nin Schools in the 2020's, was released by Corwin Press in September of 2021\nand in 2022 was chosen for placement in the SAGE Knowledge Digital Library, an\nonline resource used by researchers from around the world. His latest book,\nco-authored with Sami Scarpitti and written for business leaders, is 4-Gen\nLeadership: Thriving in a Multi-gen Workforce (Business Expert Press;\navailable in 2024).

Mark\nis an adjunct instructor at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, and\nAshland University in Ashland, Ohio, where his books are taught for graduate\ncredit. Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree of Music with a Minor in English from\nthe University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Education\nAdministration from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
